Why do you like photography?
Despite what many people say, taking a photo doesn’t “take me out of the moment”, it pulls me in. Instead of letting life fly by as I ruminate in my busy, pea-sized brain, I’m drawn in, captivated by the extraordinary, ordinary world around me. It’s an addictive flow state that keeps you coming back for more.
What encouraged you to be a part of the PA community?
Online groups often feel like a bunch of faceless accounts. This group is different. It’s diverse, welcoming and personal. I came for the Leicas by stayed for the Leica-ble characters.

Which theme did you choose and why? What was your thought process behind the images?
I chose colour, challenging myself to shoot images that focused on different hues. From the warm yellow of golden hour, to the lush green of nature, I hoped to learn what type of image each colour would inspire me to take. In reality, it became an anxious scavenger hunt as I became increasingly worried I would never find that elusive purple train.

Any advice to those who haven't joined a walk yet? What to expect?
If you’re anything like me, you’ll find yourself wondering why on earth you signed up for the most terrifying thing of all, meeting an entire group of new people. Trust me, bite the bullet and you’ll discover a group that’d much rather see a fresh face than another camera. See you there!
